Sue is the Project Manager for StoryBoard, Byron Writers Festival’s travelling creative writing and literacy program for children and young people in the Northern Rivers.
As a consultant arts manager working in the cultural industries for over 20 years working on large scale outdoor festivals and other multi art events, Sue has undertaken a broad range of key roles such as Artistic Director, Programming Manager, Producer, Production Manager and Stage Manager. Community cultural development principles underpin all her work.
Sue’s festival and event management experience has seen her working in various contexts including non-profit organisations and state and local Governments. She directed and managed all aspects Sydney’s much loved community events, Newtown & Surry Hills Festivals. Sue also program managed a suite of indoor and outdoor arts festivals and events in The Rocks (Australia Day Music & Arts & Village Bizarre) and at Darling Harbour (Hoopla & Jazz Festival). As well she production managed ReelDance International Dance on Screen Festival at Carriageworks.
