Food, Drink, Books and Markets

BYO bottle for water refills
Byron Writers Festival is a plastic water bottle free event. Please BYO bottles for refills. There will be two water refill stations and a bubbler on site courtesy of our sponsor G Adventures. Byron Writers Festival water bottles will be for sale at the Information tent.

Can I purchase food and drinks on site?
Yes! A range of food stalls will be serving delicious local meals throughout each day of the Festival from our food marquee. Elements of Byron will be offering snacks, light meals and drinks from their resort dining facilities. There are several onsite coffee outlets, as well as the Stone & Wood Festival bar.

More coffee please
This year we will have three coffee outlets in the Festival grounds, including two Zentveld’s cafes – near the Feros Care Marquee, and with the food stalls at the northern end of the site – and the Kokomo Joe coffee caravan at the festival artisan markets. There will also be a coffee cup wash station near the large Zentveld’s cafe so be sure to bring your reusable coffee cup!

Ditch disposables and join the reuse revolution
Did you know that over 1 billion single use coffee cups are sent to landfill in Australia every year? At Byron Writers Festival this year we are asking your help to reduce single use coffee cups: Firstly, you can bring your own reusable cup (simple). Secondly, if you forget your own cup you can borrow one of the resuable Kuppa cups that will be available at the coffee cup wash station (near the large Zentveld’s cafe). You only need to pay a small deposit which you will get back when you return the cup. Alternatively, Zentveld’s will be selling glass reusable cups at their onsite cafe. Thanks to Kuppa Cups and Zentveld’s for helping us reduce waste at Byron Writers Festival 2019!

The Book Room
Come and explore our pop-up Festival bookshop. The Book Room stocks books by all Festival authors, with plenty of room to browse and shop. Most authors will be appearing at the Feros Care Book Signing tent after their session to sign books.

Artisan Markets
The Festival’s onsite marketplace, populated by a select group of local artisans. Browse the amazing creations on offer and take home a memento.
