Inaugural Rhoda Roberts Oration

Join us to honour the late, beloved Rhoda Roberts AO with Byron Writers Festival’s inaugural Rhoda Roberts Oration.

A proud Widjabul Wieybal woman of the Bundjalung nation, Aunty Rhoda was a visionary cultural leader and masterful storyteller, whose wisdom, wit, and generosity in sharing culture was a gift to all.

Together we gather to celebrate her legacy of telling First Nations stories on the global stage, her commitment to truth in media, and her tireless role as a mentor who brought community together.

Hosted by Naomi Moran, the inaugural Rhoda Roberts Oration will be delivered by Wesley Enoch. Naomi Moran is a Dunghutti and Nyangbal/Arakwal woman of the Bundjalung nation. She is a NSW Treaty Commissioner.
