What to expect

Now in its 25th year, Byron Writers Festival is one of Australia’s most popular regional literary events, featuring conversations with 100+ writers and thinkers over a three-day celebration of ideas, storytelling, and creativity.

Against a backdrop of Byron Bay’s incredible coastline and surrounded by nature, the Festival is loved for its relaxed and friendly vibe, open-air beachside location and powerful conversations spanning a mix of genres including music, art, environment, philosophy, health, politics, human rights and of course memoir and fiction.

Located just 5min from Byron Bay town centre, 30min from Byron/Ballina airport and 45 min from Gold Coast airport.

Who is it for

For writers, readers and people that believe in the power of storytelling, ideas and healthy debate as a force for good.
