Carl Power is a writer in the history of philosophy and medicine who has published both in academic journals and the media. He has a BA in Communication from the University of Technology, Sydney, and a PhD in Philosophy from the University of Sydney. An eternal student and sometimes lecturer, he has studied ancient Greek philosophy, postmodern French theory, and all manner of highbrow stuff in-between. His particular area of interest is the way that life has been understood throughout the ages, from the earliest creation myths to the latest sci-fi fantasies. He is also the Editorial Coordinator of the journal Labour History and an Editorial Research Officer at the Centenary Institute.
