Terms & Conditions of Festival Ticket Sales and Entry

This ticket is sold by Byron Writers Festival (ABN 94 163 348 616) (The Festival) who is responsible for the Event. The following conditions are both of sale, entry and attendance at the Event.

  1. The Festival may amend the program of the Festival at any time without notice, unavoidable program changes will be advised on site
  2. Once purchased, tickets will not be refunded or exchanged, and lost or stolen tickets will not be replaced.
  3. If, due to circumstances beyond the reasonable control of the Festival, such as an act of God (including adverse weather conditions), an act of terrorism, or other security issue, it may be necessary to cancel some or all of the Festival program, the Festival may do so and, unfortunately, no refund will be given.
  4. No bottled water is sold onsite.  A complimentary water refilling station is available.  Please BYO bottle or buy one from us.
  5. Participation in the Festival and entry to the Festival site and the Festival Car Park  is at your own risk.  To the maximum extent at law, you release the Festival its Directors, employees, subcontractors and agents from any liability whatsoever arising, however caused by your attendance at the Festival.
  6. The Festival reserves the right to take photographs and video, which may include images of Festival attendees, for the duration of the Festival and across all Festival sites and reserves the right to use all images and video across Festival media platforms thereafter.
  7. No commercial activity may be conducted, and no written material or goods of any description handed out or otherwise distributed, at the Festival site without the express permission of the Festival.
  8. No photograph or audio or video recording may be taken at the Festival site, other than for private non-commercial purposes, without the express permission of the Festival.
  9. The Festival may refuse admission to the Festival site, and eject from the Festival site, any person whose behaviour is inappropriate or a threat to public safety.
  10. You must bring your ticket for entry to the Festival site and you must wear your pass throughout the period you are at the Festival site. Please note that your 3-day wristband is non removable /non transferable once issued.
  11. You must bring proof of eligibility for concession and discounted Sunday Locals’ tickets to the Festival site and the Festival may refuse entry if this is not provided upon request. Children must be supervised at all times by a responsible adult while on the Festival site.
  12. The Festival reserves the right to examine and search all bags (including handbags), parcels and packages which are brought, or proposed to be brought, onto the Festival site, and to effect such other security measures as are reasonably necessary to protect the Festival site.
  13. The Festival may amend or vary these terms and conditions at any time and that amendment will take effect from the time the amended terms and conditions are placed on the Festival website (www.byronwritersfestival.com).

Terms & Conditions of Annual Event (Out of Season) Ticket Sales and Entry

This ticket is sold by Byron Writers Festival (ABN 94 163 348 616) (The Festival) who is responsible for the Event. The following conditions are both of sale, entry and attendance at the Event.

  1. The Festival may amend the event at any time without notice, unavoidable program changes will be advised on our website byronwritersfestival.com

Terms & Conditions of Annual Workshops and Membership

This ticket is sold by Byron Writers Festival (ABN 94 163 348 616) who is responsible for the sale of this ticket or membership package. The following conditions are both of sale and attendance.

  1. The Festival may amend the workshop, seminar, course or membership package at any time without notice. Unavoidable changes will be advised on our website byronwritersfestival.com and all previously enrolled participants notified.
  2. In the event that Byron Writers Festival must cancel or reschedule a workshop, seminar or course, and the participant is unable to attend on the amended date, payment will be refunded in full.
  3. Except in exceptional circumstances, once purchased, workshop fees will not be refunded. If participants are unable to attend a workshop, and cancel their booking within seven days of the workshop, Byron Writers Festival may offer a credit for an alternative event or program. Credits must be redeemed within one year of issue or at a later date at Byron Writers Festival’s discretion.
  4. Except in exceptional circumstances, once purchased, membership fees will not be refunded. If, due to change in circumstances, patrons wish to cancel their membership, Byron Writers Festival may offer a credit for an alternative event or program. Credits must be redeemed within one year of issue or at a later date at Byron Writers Festival’s discretion.
  5. No commercial activity may be conducted, and no written material or goods of any description handed out or otherwise distributed, at the workshop, seminar or course without the express permission of the Festival.
