Anika is a brand and communications strategist with fifteen years’ experience developing and implementing successful brand, communications and website projects. She is particularly passionate about user experience (how people interact with a brand or service) and creating compelling experiences aimed at engaging public audiences.
A trained Industrial Designer, Anika cut her teeth as an accessories designer for Mambo and designing interactive exhibits for the Science Museum of Barcelona. A stint as an innovation consultant sparked her passion for consumer research, with the last 10 years seeing Anika leading and guiding research and communications strategy projects for the Australian Human Rights Commission, the National Centre for Indigenous Excellence, and the ABC to name a few.
Anika firmly believes that books and the arts in general make incredibly important contributions to our society and deserve to be celebrated. She is thrilled to be leading the organisation’s Marketing and Communications activities and looks forward to contributing to the ongoing success of both the Festival and annual calendar of programs and events.
