The Festival site is located at Elements of Byron (formerly known as North Beach), approximately 5km from Byron town centre.
The Festival operates a regular shuttle bus service from Byron Bay to the Festival site. The cost is $5 each way. We encourage visitors to use the shuttle service as parking is limited.
Operated by: Go Byron (look for the ‘Byron Writers Festival Shuttle Bus’ sign in the window)
Operates: 7.30am till 5.30pm, Friday, Saturday & 8.00am till 5.30pm on Sunday
Frequency: The shuttle bus will circulate every ½ hour throughout the day. You will need to hail the driver kerbside: they will not automatically stop, nor are we able to give you an exact time as it will be dependent upon pickup and drop offs. Feel free to call to see when the next shuttle is due on 02 66 855 008.
When to wait: You should be waiting at least 1 hour prior to your session time. If you’re running late, ask them to send a cab, but you will be liable for this cost.
