Debbie Lee (Senior Account Manager, Ingram) and Jen Hutchison (Journeys to Words CEO, author and publisher) will talk about the changing face of publishing and how ever more accessible technologies have democratised the landscape. Learn about the pros and cons of self-publishing, vanity presses and mainstream publishing, and how indie authors are finding a path via print-on-demand, to global distribution.
Debbie Lee is the Senior Manager with Ingram Lightning Source and works with publishers large and small, to make titles available print-on-demand, for distribution to a worldwide market.
Jen Hutchison has launched a new publishing imprint, Journeys to Words Publishing, focussed on the work of mature-age writers. The first book, Motherling, was released on May 1. For background to the book and the publishing journey, here’s the link to Jen’s interview with Myf Warhurst earlier this month. https://www.abc.net.au/radio/programs/myf-warhurst/motherling/11059684
