Byron Writers Festival is a member-based organisation administered by a dedicated team. Our aim is to offer a yearly program of engaging literary events and workshops.
Zoe Pollock is a senior arts and cultural sector leader with more than 15 years experience in creative programming, strategic organisational development and audience engagement. She joined Byron Writers Festival as Artistic Director in 2022.
Emma joined the Byron Writers Festival team as Partnership Manager in 2016. Emma has over twenty years of experience in sales and marketing for music and media organisations.
Emily joined the Byron Writers Festival team in 2018 after completing a six month internship with the organisation. She worked as Festival Administrator for three years before moving into the role of Program Manager in 2021.
Anika is a brand and communications strategist with over fifteen years’ experience implementing brand, communications and website projects. She joined the Byron Writers Festival team in 2016.
Aarna joined the Byron Writers Festival team as Partnership Coordinator in 2019, after managing the Artisan Markets for the festival in 2017 and 2018.
Shien first joined the Byron Writers Festival team in 2014 as a volunteer, coordinating Opening Night. She became Volunteers Coordinator in 2018 and is the Operations Manager for 2022.
Tom is a freelance writer and photographer who grew up in the Northern Rivers. Tom joined the team in 2021 as Festival Administrator.
Cherrie Sheldrick is our Travel and Ticketing Manager. She has been with Byron Writers Festival for 19 years.
