This ticket is sold by Byron Writers Festival (ABN 94 163 348 616) (The Festival) who is responsible for the Event. The following conditions are both of sale, entry and attendance at the Event.
The Festival may amend the program of the Festival at any time without notice, unavoidable program changes will be advised on site.
No refunds on tickets will be given except in accordance with the Live Performance Australia Ticketing Code of Practice or Byron Writers Festival’s COVID-safe Flexible Ticketing Policy (details below). If the event is unable to proceed on the advertised date or location due to intervening circumstances such as an act of God, state of emergency (e.g. bushfires or floods), public health emergency (e.g. pandemics), travel warnings (e.g. travel restrictions or advice to not travel) and government directives (e.g. forced venue closures or mass gatherings restrictions) , Byron Writers Festival reserves the right to reschedule the Event, and offer a credit or exchange to the rescheduled date, or offer a refund request window of 28 days.
Participation in the Festival and entry to the Festival site and the Festival car park is at your own risk. To the maximum extent at law, you release the Festival its Directors, employees, subcontractors and agents from any liability whatsoever arising, however caused by your attendance at the Festival.
The Festival reserves the right to take photographs and video, which may include images of Festival attendees, for the duration of the Festival and across all Festival sites and reserves the right to use all images and video across Festival media platforms thereafter.
No commercial activity may be conducted, and no written material or goods of any description handed out or otherwise distributed, at the Festival site without the express permission of the Festival.
No photograph or audio or video recording may be taken at the Festival site, other than for private non-commercial purposes, without the express permission of the Festival.
The Festival may refuse admission to the Festival site, and eject from the Festival site, any person whose behaviour is inappropriate or a threat to public safety.
You must bring your ticket for entry to the Festival site, where it will be exchanged for a wristband. You must wear your wristband/pass throughout the period you are at the Festival site. Please note, a 3-Day Pass is a multiple day ticket for the use of one person and cannot be shared. Your wristband is non removable / non transferable once issued and any wristband that has been removed or tampered with will not be replaced.
You must bring proof of eligibility for concession and discounted local tickets to the Festival site and the Festival may refuse entry if this is not provided upon request.
Children must be supervised at all times by a responsible adult while on the Festival site.
The Festival reserves the right to examine and search all bags (including handbags), parcels and packages which are brought, or proposed to be brought, onto the Festival site, and to effect such other security measures as are reasonably necessary to protect the Festival site.
The Festival may amend or vary these terms and conditions at any time and that amendment will take effect from the time the amended terms and conditions are placed on the Festival website (byronwritersfestival.com).
COVID-Safe Flexible Ticketing Policy
Byron Writers Festival has introduced updates to our ticketing policy giving people more flexibility in the case of illness or border closure:
If you cannot attend Festival events due to testing positive to COVID-19 or having to isolate according to current NSW Health guidelines, please contact the Festival to arrange a ticket exchange or credit. If an exchange or credit cannot be facilitated a refund will be given.
If you cannot attend the Festival due to travel and quarantine restrictions, or border closures, please contact the Festival, where possible, 7 days prior to the event to arrange a ticket exchange or credit – and if that can’t be facilitated a refund will be given.
COVID-Safe Conditions of Entry
Byron Writers Festival will be delivered in accordance with the prevailing NSW Department of Health guidelines.
Do not attend the Festival if you have tested positive to COVID-19 or if you are
required to isolate according to current NSW Health guidelines.
If you are feeling unwell, please stay home or take a Rapid Antigen Test prior to arrival onsite. Box office staff may require to see evidence of your negative test result prior to entry.
A COVID-19 Safety Plan is in place for the Festival for the health and safety of all.
Hand sanitiser and face masks will be available for use. Please maintain personal hygiene and social distancing (where possible) to reduce the risk of exposure and spread of COVID-19.
Capacity and seating in venues will be in accordance with NSW Public Health Orders and NSW Health guidelines at the time of the Festival, not at the time of ticket purchase.
Festival attendees must adhere to COVID-19 Safety guidelines and follow instructions given by marshals, staff or volunteers while attending the event. The Festival reserves the right to eject from the site any person who does not agree to follow COVID-19 Safety Plan rules and procedures.
If you are feeling unwell whilst onsite, please notify a marshal, volunteer or staff member. You may be directed to take a Rapid Antigen Test and await the result within a designated isolated area. If you test positive, you will be asked to make your way home immediately for isolation. Please note, we will not refund your ticket once it has been exchanged for a wristband at the Festival entry.
