Byron Writers Festival 2022 mixes bestsellers and fresh new talent for three incredible days of joy and discovery.

Leading lights

Byron Writers Festival will once again welcome a stellar line up of leading authors following a two year hiatus. Bestselling authors including Bruce Pascoe (Country: Future Fire, Future Farming), Hannah Kent (Devotion), Christos Tsiolkas (7 1/2) and Trent Dalton (Love Stories) will headline the star studded program.

They will be joined by screen favourites, Bryan Brown, who has penned his first collection of crime short stories, Sweet Jimmy, and Costa Georgiadas (Costa’s World) of Gardening Australia.

Other literary shining lights include Arnold Zable (The Watermill), Steve Toltz (Here Goes Nothing), Nikki Gemmell (Dissolve), Kathryn Heyman (Fury), Mirandi Riwoe (The Burnished Sun) and many more.

Ones to watch

As always, the festival plays host to an array of talented fresh voices. Get set to discover some of the best new voices in Australian writing, including Emily Brugman (The Islands), Sara El Sayed (Muddy People), Nigel Feathersone (My Heart is a Little Wild Thing) and Amani Haydar (The Mother Wound) to name just a few.
